About Koster

Independent guidance.
Built on a standard.

We're not a traditional dealership. We're not a manufacturer's rep. We're an independent equipment consultancy built around a single principle: fit comes before everything.

The Practice

Koster Machinery is a fit-first operation.

Most equipment decisions go sideways before the machine ever ships. Specs get compared, quotes get approved, and the hard questions -- about space, power, workflow, and timing -- never get asked. By the time the machine arrives, the situation is already set.

We built Koster Machinery to change that dynamic. Our process puts evaluation before recommendation, every time. We work independently of any manufacturer's sales targets, which means our only obligation is to the operation we're advising.

That's not a differentiator. That's the foundation.

Our Founder

35 years.
Four sectors.

Bill has spent 35 years in capital equipment -- across metalworking, metalforming, woodworking, and plastics. He's seen what happens when the right questions don't get asked early enough, and he built the Koster process specifically to prevent it.

He works directly with every client at the front end of an engagement. Not to pitch a product line -- to understand the operation well enough to know whether there's a fit, and if so, which one.

"A major capital investment deserves clarity -- not a quote and a handoff."
How We Work

What every Koster engagement includes.

The process doesn't change based on the sector, the machine type, or the size of the investment. Every engagement runs the same evaluation before anything is recommended.

01
Environment & Layout
Shop floor assessment. Physical constraints. Installation path.
02
Power & Infrastructure
Electrical requirements. Installation needs. Utility coordination.
03
Application & Demands
Production requirements. Material specs. Performance expectations.
04
Workflow Integration
Operator interaction. Process flow. Training requirements.
05
Timing & Delivery
Lead times. Installation scheduling. Realistic expectations.
06
Service & Accountability
Parts availability. Service logistics. Long-term accountability.
This is the standard every engagement is held to. Not because it's policy -- because it's the only way to get it right.
Ready to Start

Start with a conversation.
Not a quote.

If you're evaluating equipment and want someone to pressure-test the decision before you commit, that's what the Koster process is built for.
